What to say and do if you commit a sin
The dua in its Arabic wording from Hisn al-Muslim, with its English meaning.
Bismillahir-rahmanir-raheem
Each dua: the Arabic, then a transliteration to help you say it aloud, then its meaning.
Ma min 'abdin yudhnibu dhanban fayuhsinut-tuhoor, thumma yaqoomu fayusallee rak'atayn, thumma yastaghfirullaha illa ghafarallahu lah.
(Any servant who commits a sin and as a result, performs ablution, prays two units of prayer (i.e. two rakʿas) and then seeks Allah’s forgiveness, Allah would forgive him.)

The transliteration is generated by Waqtazan from the voweled Arabic as a reading aid — the Arabic and the recitation remain the reference. Virtues are quoted only from authentic hadith (al-Bukhari, Muslim, or graded sahih/hasan by al-Albani). Recitations: hisnmuslim.com.
